ABOUT ME

Subhas Sastri, the leader in Indian Jyotirvidya, has already passed glorious 27 years in his profession. Born in a most ordinary Bengali family, on the last part of sixties of the 20th century in an obscure and remote village of Howrah District of West Bengal in India. He is the second son of Saroj Kumar and Anjali Devi.

 

From the early childhood Subhas was very much reluctant to formal education. Rather he had an inclination and attachment to other world. He loved to participate in games and sports. Subhas also had special attraction to see the village Yatra (open air opera). Specially he liked devotional Yatras. It was a regular practice to Subhas to see the Yatras without taking any permission from parents. Unaccounted times he was scolded and severely punished by them. But Subhas did not pay any heed to that. Actually the songs of Vivek in the Yatras engrossed Subhas in the other world. Once hearing the songs, he couls easily memorize them and in a baritone voice Subhas replayed the songs in paths and meadows of the villages.

 

Apart from this, in his boyhood Subhas had a great attraction to prepare clay models. He liked to create the shapes of Gods and Goddesses. Specially he liked to prepare the idols of Taramaa (one of the 10 forms of Goddess Kali) and worshipped her. Roaming hither and dither in search of a real Guru who can thirst his quench for God, Subhas miraculously came in contact with a Sadhak (austere endeavourer). The Sadhak was an Aghorpanthy (one of the religious communities practicing dreadful and abominal rites). He indoctrinated Subhas and made him his disciple. He ordered Subhas to do difficult Sadhana at Tarapith and Kamakhya. After a prolonged Sadhana, Subhas Sastri gained the benediction of Goddess Taramaa and attained Supernatural powers. To utilize that supernatural power for the benevolent of mankind, Subhas Sastri started to study Indian Astrology, which is invented by the ancient Munis and Rishis and a part of the science-based Vedas.
